Hello friends!

In honor of #MissAmericaFit, I want to share with you my personal journey with Krav Maga, a martial art developed from Israeli military tactics and one that has completely transformed my life.

As an artsy teenage girl, I found it very hard for me to believe that I would enjoy any form of physical exercise. I used to struggle with self-confidence and feeling vulnerable in some cases. That all changed when I discovered Krav Maga and the empowering world of self-defense.

Krav Maga focuses on practical techniques that anyone can learn. From day one, I was hooked. I found myself in a supportive community of like-minded individuals, all striving to become stronger and more confident. We were all taking a swing at something we had never tried. Knowing that made it easier for me to experience what it was like to be truly comfortable in my own body.

The training sessions pushed me physically and mentally, but the progress I made was incredible. Through Krav Maga, I learned essential self-defense techniques that have boosted my confidence and given me peace of mind when it came to my own self-protection. The training involved simulated real-life scenarios and teaching me how to react in high-pressure situations. Real fighting tactics were taught so that in the right, and potentially
worst, circumstances I could instinctually use my hand-to-hand combat, groundwork techniques, and strategic thinking to protect myself. Learning how to defend myself and stay safe has not only empowered me physically but also mentally and emotionally.
